"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," said George Santayana, a philosopher, essayist, poet and novelist.

Here at Hiwan Homestead Museum, we believe those who learn history are liberated to love it! That's especially true for students who engage in activities that bring history to life.

Hiwan offers programs for students K-12, including programs at the museum, field trips and presentations at schools using historic images and artifacts.
