4-H Dog Project Recruiting for 2014

Strengthen the bond between you and your best friend by joining the Jefferson County 4-H Dog Project.

The project is designed for youth ages 8 to 18 who are interested in learning more about dog care, obedience, training, rally and showmanship. Some agility training is thrown in for fun! Participants can compete in 4-H dog shows across the state, at the county fair and at the state fair if they qualify. It’s a great way for youth to become closer to their pet and acquire vital dog-ownership skills.

Youth who are currently enrolled in 4-H can join the Dog Project for no additional cost. One group currently meets in the Conifer area, and another is being established at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden. The registration fee is $40 and can be paid online at www.4honline.com External Link Icon.
