    Jeffco Open Space Releases 2013 Annual Report

    Report Shows a Year of Conservation, Volunteerism and Recovery

    Jefferson County Open Space announces the availability of their Annual Report titled Preservation in Progress 2013. This report details the activities and accomplishments of the last year, and reflects the mission, goals and guiding principles of Jeffco Open Space.

    Learn about customer loyalty and satisfaction surveys; conservation of natural resources; completed species studies; land preservation and newly donated properties; volunteer involvement by hours and department; flood recovery challenges, efforts and plans; restoration of historic buildings in Open Space parks; budget and revenue reporting; and work accomplished through the Open Space Advisory Committee.

    Jeffco Open Space commits to: practicing responsible management of our human, natural, historic, park and financial resources; providing quality experiences for our customers, visitors, participants, staff and volunteers; and exchanging information and foster collaboration to produce the best possible results.

    Jeffco Open Space was founded as a land conservation organization in 1972 to preserve land, protect park and natural resources and provide healthy nature-based experiences. We are funded with a one-half of one percent sales tax that has preserves over 52,800 acres and created 28 regional parks and 227 miles of trails in Jefferson County.
