Walk with a Doc at Crown Hill Park

The Walk with a Doc program is coming to Crown Hill Park on April 26 and June 21 to demonstrate that exercise can be the best medicine.

The event offers a chance to get moving while having physicians on-hand to answer your health-related questions. Learn how easy it is to get fit and prevent disease in a free, informal setting complete with blood-pressure checks, giveaways, coffee and snacks.

Healthcare professionals from Integrative Medicine of Cherry Creek and naturalists from the Lookout Mountain Nature Center will be at Crown Hill Park at the intersection of Kipling Street and 26th Avenue at 8 a.m. April 26 and June 21, both Saturdays. Take a stroll around the park and visit with these specialists who will be providing a wealth of nature- and health-related information. The main topic April 26 is plantar fasciitis and the main topic June 21 is osteoporosis. General health information will also be available.

An additional Walk with a Doc event is scheduled for 8 a.m. May 31 at Clement Park around Johnson Reservoir, which is managed by the Foothills Park and Recreation District. The main topic will be shoulder injuries.

Walk with a Doc is a collaborative effort of Jeffco Open Space, Integrative Medicine of Cherry Creek, Boulder Running Company, Aspen Pure Rocky Mountain Water, Ground Up Coffee Café, Sprouts Farmers Market and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The Jeffco Parks Department is comprised of Jeffco Open Space, the Fairgrounds, CSU Extension, Boettcher Mansion and Weed and Pest.
