Using funds from a .5 percent sales tax, Jefferson County Open Space has protected more than 52,000 acres of land, while creating 28 regional parks and nearly 230 miles of trails that can be enjoyed without entry fees. Treasure them with respect for our natural resources, Open Space Park Rules and fellow park visitors.
Open Space Parks are an ideal setting for a wide range of recreation. The activities listed here are a sampling; check back for additions to this list and consult our Activity Guide for a complete inventory of activities and amenities available at each park. Consult our System Map and Trail Ratings for an Open Space Park and outing that suits you and your party.
