White Ranch Park is home to abundant wildlife and encompasses open meadows, forested foothills, a pristine canyon, buttes, rock formations and Van Bibber Creek along the southern border. It also boasts 20 miles of multi-use trails over both gentle and rugged terrain. Consult our trail profiles for a journey suited to your ability level, from the flat 4.5-mile Rawhide Trail to the long, rocky and steep 4.4-mile Belcher Hill Trail. Natural-surface trails criss-cross the property with the exception of two Sensitive Areas, including Ralston Buttes, which can be accessed only by permit or on guided tours set up by Lookout Mountain Nature Center. From several locations in the park, including the Sawmill Hikers Campground, visitors are rewarded with sweeping views of the Plains and Denver. Equestrians can take advantage of hitching rails and a horse corral at the Sourdough Springs Equestrian Campground.
