  • Volunteer for Jeffco Open Space

Jeffco Open Space was created in 1972 thanks to volunteer vision and hard work. Contribute your talents and energy and join 400 active volunteers to help bolster this vital Open Space Program.

"When you volunteer for Jefferson County Open Space, you encounter the best of all worlds," said Teddy Newman, 2012 Volunteer of the Year and now a customer service representative for JCOS. "The public is very appreciative of your knowledge and service. And the other volunteers become like family."

Hiwan Homestead Museum accepts applications for volunteers year-round. Recruitment is ongoing for the Park Steward Program for those with passion to care for a particular Open Space Park. The 2014 deadline has passed for other positions. Stay tuned for news of our next volunteer recruitment season in January 2015.

For remaining positions, please fill out this application Adobe PDF Icon and email to jjohns@jeffco.us. For more information, contact Volunteer Services Specialist Jo Carter, 303-271-5992, or Volunteer Services Administrator Jana Johns, 303-271-5922.
