Planning & Zoning had fun talking to all of the people that stopped by the booth at the Rhubarb Festival (See photos below). The Draft Land Use maps that were shown at the Festival are now under Maps. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:30pm. Draft land use recommendations for the entire Conifer Plan area will be presented at that meeting.

About this Update On December 12, 2012, the Jefferson County Planning Commission adopted an update to the Jefferson County Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP). This plan contains general policies that apply to development anywhere in unincorporated Jefferson County. Currently, Planning and Zoning is incorporating the community plans into the Comprehensive Master Plan. Plans recently updated and incorporated into the master plan include the North Plains, Central Plains, South Plains, North Mountains, Central Mountains, and Indian Hills Area Plans. The next plans to be updated include the Evergreen Area and Conifer/285 Community Plans. Please go to the main Plan and Regulation Updates page for more information on the Conifer/285 update. The Conifer/285 Corridor Area Community Plan Update is in the preliminary information gathering stage. Staff has been creating stakeholders lists, timelines and maps. In the near future, staff will be evaluating the existing and currently recommended future land uses in the area to determine whether there are areas of potential change. Staff will then hold community meetings to discuss the land use maps and existing plan policies. Meeting dates will be posted on this website and notification will be sent or emailed to people who sign up for community plan updates.
