Award Winners
These Design Excellence award winners were recognized by Jefferson County at a ceremony July 30, 2007.
The Program
Recognizing and promoting creative and innovative architecture and site design in the development community. Open to all projects constructed within the last 10 years in Jefferson County.
The Entries
Nineteen entries were received by the submission deadline of June 1, 2007, with project representation in four of the six categories.
The Jury
A panel of nine professionals in various disciplines of planning, design, and construction were selected to take part in the judging process. Profiles of each jury member are outlined.
The Awards
Commissioner?s Award: One overall winner was recognized as the outstanding project of countywide and regional significance. Also the Commissioners' awarded a Runner-up and Honor Award.
Honor Awards: A maximum of three awards are possible in each category recognizing exemplary design and execution.
Merit Awards: An unlimited number are possible in each category to recognize superior design and execution.
