The Jefferson County Planning Commission approved the Jefferson County Comprehensive Master Plan on January 27, 2010.

This document expresses the overarching goals of the County. It represents the first step in developing one document that combines all of the County’s community plans. Currently, the existing community plans still govern specific land use recommendations. As the community plans are updated, they will be condensed to focus on land use recommendations and other issues specific to their plan area. Those plans will then become a part of this Comprehensive Master Plan.
