John Wolforth is the Planning & Zoning Director for Jefferson County, Colorado. He has held this position since March of 2007. Prior to that he served as the Assistant Planning Director and Planning Administrator. Wolforth has been with the county since May 2000 when he joined the Planning and Zoning Division as a Planner.

A native of south Florida, Wolforth attended Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Political Science in 1991. After spending time working in the financial markets, he went on to earn a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1999.
