Jefferson County Landmarks
On April 20, 2011, the Landmark Designation Committee (LDC) met to review the most recent Landmark Designation submittal by the Colorado Railroad Museum. The LDC found that the Colorado Railroad Museum's structures, rolling stock and site met with the necessary Landmark criteria and voted in favor of Landmark Designation.
On June 6, 2011, the Jefferson County Historical Commission (JCHC) will vote to approve, modify and approve, or disapprove the proposed Historic Landmark designation for the Colorado Railroad Museum. This meeting will be held at JCHC's monthly meeting in the Lookout Mountain Room at 1:00 P.M.
Properties of exceptional significance to the county's history will have the opportunity to be designated a Jefferson County Historic Landmark and be recognized with a Certificate of Designation at the annual Hall of Fame Awards Program.
