Award Winners
These Design Excellence award winners were recognized by Jefferson County at a ceremony July 24, 2006.
The Program
Recognizing and promoting creative and innovative site design in the development community, and open to all projects constructed within the last 10 years in Incorporated or Unincorporated Jefferson County.
The Entries
Thirty entries were received by the submission deadline of June 9, 2006, with project representation in seven categories.
Jury Profiles
A panel of eleven professionals in various disciplines of planning, design, and construction were selected to take part in the judging process.
The Awards
Commissioners' Award: One overall winner was recognized as an outstanding project of Countywide or Regional significance. Also the Commissioners' awarded a Runner-up and Honor Award.
Honor Awards: A maximum of three were possible in each category to recognize superior design and execution.
Merit Awards: An unlimited number were possible in each category to recognize exemplary design and execution.
