The best way to prevent seasonal influenza, or the "flu," is to get a flu vaccination each fall.

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness and, at times, can lead to death. In an effort to better protect the public, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is now recommending all children 6 months of age and older receive an annual influenza vaccine.

    Getting a Flu Shot

Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) provides flu shots by appointment only at our Arvada and Lakewood locations during our regularly scheduled immunization clinics. Please call 303-232-6301 for an appointment or more information.
