What are the specific topics that are considered by the Environmental Land Use Planner when reviewing proposed developments?

    Answer

The list of topics varies according to the type of development that is proposed. In most cases the provision of water and sewer, and air and water pollution impacts are important issues. We also consider incorporating community design into certain developmental proposals to promote active living concepts, such as access to multi-modal transportation options, aging in place, and working, living and recreating in one place. In other cases, subjects such as noise levels, effects of power lines, animal manure management, and prevention of diseases such as West Nile Virus are included in the review.
