    Jefferson County Public Health's Air Quality Control Section helps protect our air by monitoring air pollutants and enforcing the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission's Regulations. The quality of the air we breathe concerns all Jefferson County residents, every industry, and the government.

    The JCPH staff conducts a variety of activities under contract with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Air Pollution Control Division.     Citizens can call 303-758-4848 or check today's air quality online View exit disclaimer policy page for links to third-party websites. to learn more about air quality index and if any health advisories are in effect. Outside the Denver area, please call toll free 1-888-484-3247 (1-888-4-THE AIR) to check today's air quality.

    The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment maintains the smoking vehicle hotline program, View exit disclaimer policy page for links to third-party websites. which is designed to identify smoking vehicles and encourages owners to voluntarily make necessary repairs. The hotline provides motorists and others the opportunity to report smoking vehicles to the state Air Pollution Control Division by phone or email.
