FasTracks Construction Update: Quail Street Closure

West Corridor crews will be installing the light rail track crossing at Quail Street at 13th Avenue requiring the full closure of Quail Street between Collins and Colfax Avenues. Quail Street will close on Friday, March 4, and will reopen on approximately Monday, March 14, 2011.

Permitted work hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week with limited nighttime work. Suggested detour routes include Simms Street or Oak Street. Local access will be allowed.

Activities will include demolition, grading, systems, track and panel installation and temporary asphalt paving.

RTD appreciates your cooperation during this activity and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Scheduled dates are subject to change and are weather dependent. While it’s not anticipated to have crews in the area continuously from now until completion of construction, the phasing of future activities will require crews to be moving in and out from now until West Corridor light rail construction is completed in late 2012.

For complete up-to-date information on upcoming construction activities, access the Construction Information Page for the West Corridor on the FasTracks website.
