Jefferson County Public Library Hosts Author Meet & Greet

Jefferson County Public Library will be featuring an author meet and greet from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Belmar Library. The event will feature more than 40 noted authors from across Colorado. Authors will provide insight into their writing process, and guests will have the opportunity to meet them and discuss their works. This event will also feature storytimes and crafts for children.

“We are delighted to be able to give our patrons the chance to interact with some of their favorite local authors,” said Program & Education Coordinator Stacy McKenzie. “The author response to this event was overwhelming, so we know that the authors are excited to talk with the patrons. It is important to us as a library system to be able to create this dialogue among library users and authors of various genres.”

Featured guests include well-known fiction, nonfiction, children’s and teen authors such as Mario Acevedo, Terri Clark, Polly Letofsky and Linda Osmundson, among many others.

    Children’s storytimes will take place at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with drop-in crafts for kids from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-2 p.m. in the Children’s Room.
