    Seventh Annual Colorado Heart Gallery

The Seventh Annual Colorado Heart Gallery is an exhibit of photographs that highlight the spirit of foster care children in search of loving homes. The Heart Gallery is Colorado’s most effective recruitment tool for locating adoptive families for older children and approximately 40 percent of the children featured in the exhibit find their “forever families” within one year of being featured.

Join Jefferson County and make a difference in the life of a child! The exhibit is now available to view in the atrium of the Jefferson County Admin & Courts Facility.

Lynnae Flora, division director of Community Assistance with Jefferson County Human Services, observed, “The first time you see the Heart Gallery you can’t help but hold back tears, it grabs your heart.” As an adoptive parent herself, Flora also emphasized that the goal of the Heart Gallery is for interested parents to learn more and adopt a child in need.

The Heart Gallery’s exhibit venues over the last three years have included the State Capitol, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Denver International Airport, Focus on the Family, Parker Adventist Hospital, Jefferson County District Court, and the Lone Tree Library. The exhibit is a collaborative effort among the Colorado Department of Human Services, The Adoption Exchange, county departments of human/social services, and numerous professional photographers who donate their services in order to help Colorado children find adoptive families.
