Bike to Work Day celebrates commuters getting out of their cars and trying their bikes as an alternative way to commute. Over the last few years commuters have utilized many types of alternative modes on this day; for 2012 and future years the Bike to Work Day strategy group wanted to get back to the roots of the day and encourage commuters to ride their bikes. While the entire Bike to Work Day planning group wants to keep supporting all types of alternative transportation, they thought it was very important to maintain the original idea of this event, which is biking.

Founded in 1985, Yeti Cycles is a premier mountain bike manufacturer based here in Golden. Yeti Cycles are hand-built and race bred, with an impressive racing pedigree. As one of the best US bicycle manufactures Yeti Cycles has a long history of delivering cutting-edge MTB designs and has been a mountain bike innovator for as long as the sport has been in existence.

Bike to Work Day is presented by the Denver Regional Council of Governments' (DRCOG) RideArrangers program and is a joint planning effort made by regional organizations that are concerned about the environment and promote bicycling as an alternative mode of transportation.
