Foothills Animal Shelter Offers Mobile Spay/Neuter Program for the Community

Foothills Animal Shelter, with support from the Animal Assistance Foundation, is launching a new mobile spay/neuter program called A Simple Fix. Starting July 27, the Shelter’s large mobile unit will host 24 clinics within the community through June of 2013. In partnership with Jefferson County Animal Control, Westminster Animal Management and Wheat Ridge Animal Control, these clinics will provide subsidized spay/neuter services.

“We are thrilled to take our affordable spay and neuter program out to convenient locations making it easy for pet owners who are hurting financially. We realize many times struggling cat and dog owners would not spay or neuter their pets if this kind of program didn’t exist,” says Heather Cameron, Foothills Animal Shelter’s Executive Director. She adds, “Thanks to the Animal Assistance Foundation, A Simple Fix is now a reality and a fantastic addition to what we’re already offering the pet community.”
