Mulligans for Mutts: Giving Animals a Second Shot!

7th Annual Golf Benefit Helps Foothills Animal Shelter’s Homeless Pets

(GOLDEN, CO – May 11, 2012) – Foothills Animal Foundation, the nonprofit that supports the orphaned animals cared for by Foothills Animal Shelter, will host the seventh annual Mulligans for Mutts Golf Tournament, presented by Sanjel, a specialized energy service company. The tournament will be held Monday, June 4 at the exclusive Columbine Country Club (17 Fairway Lane in Littleton).

This popular tournament, which features homeless dogs (and their “walkers”) on the course, is a scramble format with two flights —giving golfers the option to play in the morning or afternoon. Tournament play will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. for the morning round and 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon round. Besides adoptable canines, breakfast, lunch, golfer gifts, hole-in-one prizes, on-course contests and a 19th hole happy hour will be available.

Entry fees are $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome. Limited sponsorship opportunities are still available. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will help the Shelter fund many of its vital programs including adoptions and veterinary services.

DAY-OF PHOTO/VIDEO OPPORTUNITY: If you would like to send a photographer or videographer out to the course to get some golfers (and dogs) in action between 9:30-10:00 am on June 4, please RSVP Jennifer Strickland at 720.407.5224.

For more information regarding the golf benefit or becoming a sponsor, please contact Caitlyn Ray, Foothills Animal Foundation Development Manager, at 720.407.5226. Online registration is available at http://www.mulligansformutts.org/.
