    Flood Recovery Appreciation Event Postponed

With the National Weather Service issuing winter storm warnings for Jefferson County with snow accumulations through Wednesday of up to 25 inches in the foothills, the county commissioners are postponing the Flood Recovery Appreciation Event scheduled for Thursday, December 5.

County’s Road and Bridge crews will be working on 12 hour shifts until the roads are cleared and would not be able to attend. County employees from the Sheriff’s Office and other departments also will be working long hours due to the storm and we want them to be able to attend so we can thank them in person.

Thank you for your understanding, and also for your hard work in response to the September floods and the ongoing recovery efforts. You are very much appreciated!

We will let you know as soon as another date and time has been scheduled. Please help us spread the word that the event has been postponed.
