Jefferson County Clerk Announces CCCA Academic Scholarship

Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder Pam Anderson announced an academic scholarship opportunity for Jeffco high school seniors planning for college. The Colorado County Clerks Association, (CCCA), has established a scholarship fund to aid outstanding Colorado resident high school seniors in furthering their education at any university, college, junior college or technical institution.

The CCCA will grant regional, one-time awards in the amount of $1000. Applicants must be graduating from a Colorado high school and selection will be based on a minimum 3.25 grade point average; community involvement with an interest in government, business or political science; and financial need or hardship.

“This is a great opportunity for students in Jefferson County who are planning for the next step at the collegiate level to earn some financial assistance along the way,” said Anderson. “As president of the Colorado County Clerks Association, I am proud to be able to offer this scholarship to the potential future leaders in our state,” she added.

Applications must be turned in to the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s office no later than March 15, 2013. The scholarship information sheet and the application form are available on the Colorado County Clerks Association website at http://www.clerkandrecorder.org/ under "Scholarship Information."

For additional information, contact the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder’s Office at countyclerk@jeffco.us or 303-271-8186.
