Forest Estates Road, off of Brook Forest Road in Evergreen, is closed this morning, Tuesday, July 8, due to damage that occurred because of the storms last night. The flooding washed out a large culvert on Forest Estates Road.

The Jefferson County Road and Bridge Division estimates the road could be closed until 3:00 p.m. Once back open, access will be one lane and limited to local residents and emergency vehicles only.

Emergency access to fire and police personnel is allowed during the closure. Damage has been observed from Columbine Road up past Forest Estates Road. Road and Bridge estimates at least one week before repairs are complete on that culvert. We ask that the traveling public be extra cautious when traveling on Brook Forest Road until all repairs are made.
