Foothills Animal Shelter will be holding a month-long spay/neuter special for community pet owners. All year round, the shelter offers low-cost spaying and neutering. However, in honor of the widely recognized World Spay Day (February 25, 2014), Foothills Animal Shelter is offering an extra low-cost special for a limited time. Foothills Animal Shelter takes in nearly 8,500 orphaned pets every single year. Education about responsible pet ownership and spaying and neutering can help with the plight of pet overpopulation. In addition, providing affordable options to pet owners can be equally as important. Spaying and neutering can benefit a pet’s health by decreasing the chance of cancers. Behaviors such as marking can sometimes also be modified with this surgery. Help your pet live a happier, healthier and longer life while reducing pet overpopulation at the same time!
About Foothills Animal ShelterThe organization is a true resource for the pet community — including adoptions, pet licensing, lost and found, affordable spaying and neutering, vaccinations and microchipping. The open-admissions facility (that never turns any animal away) cares for nearly 8,500 orphaned pets each year. Visit www.FoothillsAnimalShelter.org for more information or in person seven days a week at 580 McIntyre Street in Golden, 80401 (on the northwest corner of the Jefferson County Fairgrounds near 6th Avenue & Indiana).
