    Deferment

A foreclosure deferment means a period of time during which the public trustee continues the sale of the property giving additional time in the foreclosure process for eligible, economically qualified, responsible homeowners to work with lenders on way to avoid foreclosure.

For additional information and assistance, please contact any of the agencies listed in our Homeowners section.

    Expedited Sale

For a foreclosure action commenced on or after August 1, 2010, but prior to August 1, 2013, a lender may elect to require a public trustee to hold an expedited sale pursuant to CRS 38-38-902.
