Open Records

Open Records Request pursuant to C.R.S. 24-72-202



Requests for foreclosure or release records held by the Jefferson County Public Trustee's office pursuant to the Open Records Law that are not available for on-line viewing.
  • A written request is required.
  • Our office will respond within three business days of the receipt of the request and will provide information no later than seven business days.
  • The information will be created in PDF format and sent to the county attorney for review (with the timeframe dictated) and then sent to the applicant.
  • If records requested are in use or not readily available, the applicant will be notified of the date and time the records will be available.
  • There may be a charge assessed for non-electronic records and/or extraordinary work involved to obtain information requested.
