Complaint Mediation
As of 2008, some allegations and inquiries may be eligible to go to a professional mediator through Jefferson County Mediation Services. Both the employee and the complainant must agree to mediation for it to be considered. Mediation is conducted at a neutral location by trained professionals. During the process, agreement between the employee and the complainant is not required, and both participants may speak freely. This alternative approach provides both citizens and employees the opportunity to be heard in person, while in a neutral and safe environment.
