The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is scheduled for an on-site
assessment as part of a voluntary program to achieve initial accreditation by
verifying sheriff’s office compliance with a series of professional standards
for Law Enforcement Communications Centers.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement
Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®) - Public Safety Communications Accreditation
Program (PSCAP), the program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art
standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration,
operations and support services.
Agency employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling
303-271-5635 on April 7, 2014 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Comments will be taken by the assessment team.
Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the
agency's ability to comply with the CALEA standards. The local contact is Jacki
