    Home invasion in Jeffco

Jefferson County, CO. – On May 24, 2014, at 12:30 a.m. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reference a home invasion robbery and kidnapping that occurred in the 16900 block of W. 73rd Pl. Three adults; a married couple and their male roommate occupy the house. The caller said that two men with handguns, one black and one Hispanic, forced their way into the house.

The suspects forced the female and the roommate into the couple’s car. The black suspect got into the car and they drove away. It is unclear what happened to the Hispanic suspect at that time, but he did not enter the car and was not seen again.

Shortly after the car left the residence, it was spotted by a Mountain View Police Officer on I-70 near Sheridan Blvd. A pursuit ensued into the downtown Denver area, ending in a crash near 23rd St. and Stout St. The suspect exited the car and ran away. Efforts to locate him were unsuccessful.

The relationship between the victims and the suspects is believed to be tied to a marijuana-based business.

The two male victims sustained minor injuries. The female was uninjured.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to call the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
