    Jeffco inmate released in error

    On March 25, 2014 at 8:45 a.m., an inmate in the Jefferson County Jail was released from custody in error. Damon Elliot Slayton, dob 010173, was being held at the Jeffco Jail for a parole violation for the Department of Corrections. Slayton’s original charges were for theft, burglary and robbery.

    Slayton is a black male, 5’10” tall and 160 lbs. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants. He has tattoos of a snake and boxing gloves on his arms.

    Circumstance regarding Slayton’s release are under investigation. Foul play is not suspected.

    Anyone who sees Slayton, is asked to call 911.
