    Triple shooting at Red Rocks


    Jefferson County, CO. – On June 19, 2014 at 10:30 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre on reports of a shooting. Three adult males were shot while riding in an SUV that was leaving the amphitheatre at the conclusion of a concert featuring Schoolboy Q, Nas, and Flying Lotus.

    The SUV, which Schoolboy Q was a passenger in, left the park after the shooting and was eventually stopped by Denver Police near the intersection of 6th Ave. and Kalamath St. The three injured men were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One of the three victims was released from the hospital this morning. Schoolboy Q was not injured. The identity of the victims and their relationship with Schoolboy Q is not being released.

    The shooter was described as a black male, 5’10” – 6’ tall and used a rifle. The suspect fled the immediate scene on foot. It is unknown if he left the area in a vehicle.

    The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who was in the area of the Trading Post near the amphitheatre between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and was videotaping to please call the tip line at 303-271-5612.
