Online Reporting

STEP 1: Decide if You Can Report Online

Before making a report, make sure the following is true:

This is not an emergency
The incident occurred in unincorporated Jefferson County Not Sure?
There are no known suspects
The incident is not a traffic accident
The incident did not involve a gun
You have a valid e-mail address
Your case involves one of the following:

Harassing phone call
Lost property
Car break-in
Theft
Vandalism

STEP 2: Make a Report

First turn off popup blocking software
Fill in the information as prompted by the online reporting program

STEP 3: Save Your Report

Print or save a copy of the police report for your records
Keep your temporary police report case number

Note: Filing a false police report is a crime. A deputy will review all cases filed using the online reporting system. A deputy may contact you if the Sheriff?s Office needs more information on your case. If you have questions about filing a report online, please call 303-277-0211.
