Media Contacts

PIOs Jacki Kelley and Mark Techmeyer are responsible for disseminating information to the media that may be of public interest. Their unit is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for response to media inquiries concerning the Sheriff's Office.  They may set up interviews with other members of the Sheriff's Office staff upon request, dependent on availability.

The media relations team believes in building cooperative partnerships with the news media.  In 2003, director Jacki Kelley was named PIO of the year for the Denver metro area by ESPIOC (Emergency Services Public Information Officers of Colorado).  The ESPIOC works to foster good relationships between emergency services public information officers and the news media.
