Ride-Along Program

A ride-along is a great way to learn about Sheriff's Office operations.  You may accompany a deputy on a day, evening or night shift.  Ride-alongs show citizens the day-to-day challenges that law enforcement officers face.  They also demonstrate the critical role that dispatchers and other communications personnel play in ensuring citizens' and officers' safety.

Riders may join deputies in the south, north or mountain areas of the county as they patrol their districts.  Ride-alongs begin with patrol briefing at headquarters before deputies head out on the road for the duration of their shift.

To ride along with a deputy, you must first fill out an application.  To obtain an application, call 303-271-5504 or download the application from this Web site.  When the application is complete, fax or mail it to:
