    Right-of-Way Use and Construction PermitInspections and Permits Cone Zone 

    This permit, called a "street cut permit," is required for work in county right-of-way or easements. It typically involves construction activities where contractors need to obstruct all or part of the county road to perform their work.  This permit is also required when placing a dumpster, roll-off or other container in public right-of-way (sidewalks, public alleys or streets).

    Grading Permit

    This permit is required for land disturbance activities that involve areas that are greater than or equal to one acre.

    It is issued by the Planning and Zoning Division. Transportation and Engineering inspectors will check the site for stormwater and erosion controls.

     

    Notice of Intent

    The Notice of Intent (NOI) is required for land disturbance activities that involve areas that are: 

    • Greater than 5,000 square feet and less than one acre in a non-sensitive area (see Zoning Resolution, Section 16)
    • Disturbed in accordance with lot grading and erosion control plans that have been approved with plats
    • Disturbed in accordance with an approved Site Plan Application for drilling and production of oil and gas wells


    It is issued by the Planning and Zoning Division. Transportation and Engineering inspectors will check the site for stormwater and erosion controls.

     

    Dumpster UseInspections and Permits Dumpster Form 

    This form is required when placing a dumpster, roll-off or other container in public right-of-way (sidewalks, public alleys or streets).  

    Currently, the application form for dumpster placement is the same document that is used for all roadwork and lane use.  Please indicate on the application that it is for roll-off placement in the work description box.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete, sign (names may be typed) and submit the application electronically to tedumpster@jeffco.us.  

    The cost of the permit is $25.00 for processing plus an additional 2.5% convenience fee if paying with a credit card.

    Transport Permit (a.k.a. Oversize/Overweight Load)Inspections & Permits Truck

    This permit is required for moving extra-legal vehicles through unincorporated Jefferson County.     Access Permit

    This permit is required for driveway connection to a county-maintained road. It is issued by the Planning and Zoning Division.
