Project on West Chatfield Ave. (W. Ken Caryl Ave. to S. Everett Way)
Jefferson County recently awarded a $3.5 million contract to American Civil Constructors, Inc. (ACC) for roadway, sidewalk, and drainage improvements on West Chatfield Avenue from West Ken Caryl Avenue to South Garrison Street. The project originally ended at South Everett Way, but will now end at Garrison. Construction is anticipated to begin July 8, 2013, and end December 4, 2013. The first phase of the project (No. 5-69-33-3785) will be on Chatfield from approximately 200 feet west of Sangre De Cristo Road to South Iris Way. ACC may be working on other areas of Chatfield during the first phase of construction. This project is funded with South Jefferson County half cent sales tax. Drivers need to be prepared for extensive traffic control measures, such as flaggers, traffic shifts and lane closures. Please drive safely through the work zone as it will contain staged equipment, materials and workers. For more information, contact Gary Campbell (email@example.com), project engineer or John Suess (firstname.lastname@example.org), construction manager, with Jefferson County Division of Transportation and Engineering.
