    Stakeholder Involvement Process

    Stakeholder Engagement Process

The Jefferson County Transportation and Engineering Division actively solicits feedback from stakeholders affected by Capital Improvement Projects such as roadway widening, drainage improvements, and construction of sidewalks and bicycle facilities. Stakeholders may include:

    • Cyclists
    • Residents and Homeowners Associations
    • Businesses
    • Pedestrians
    • Equestrian groups
    • Daily commuters
    • Freight Operators
    • Real Estate Developers
    • Environmental and Wildlife Groups
    • Special Districts

For individuals or groups wishing to review proposed projects and provide input on the design, several opportunities are available to engage with county staff as the design of a project proceeds.

    Conceptual Design

    • T&E typically completes 5% of designs in-house.  By request, T&E will provide interested stakeholders an overview of design standards and requirements and review the design and layouts.
    • Stakeholder involvement during this phase will consist of feedback on design

    30% Design Review

    • T&E typically solicits consultants beyond 5% design.  T&E will schedule a public meeting around the 30% design phase to provide an overview of the design.
    • Stakeholders involvement during this phase will consist of feedback on design

    Post-30% Design Updates

    • After the 30% design review meeting, T&E will no longer solicit feedback on the design.  Updates on schedule and final design will be posted on this website as they become available.
