Japanese Beetle

Japanese Beetle in Jefferson County

Japanese beetle has been known in Colorado since the mid-1990's. Recently a large number of beetles have been found near our eastern border in Arapahoe County.

In 2007, the Weed and Pest Department placed traps at 14 locations to monitor for the beetle. Jefferson County will be monitoring for the beetle again in 2008. If you believe you may have this beetle in your yard, please contact us at 303-271-5989.
